What we collect — and what we deliberately don't

Browsing this site requires no account and sends us no personal information. All Panchang, calendar and muhurat calculations run inside your own browser. The city and date preferences you pick are kept in your browser's local storage on your device — they are never transmitted to us.

Our visitor statistics are privacy-by-design: we count daily page views and referrer domains as aggregate numbers only. We store no IP addresses, no browser fingerprints and no per-visitor history, we set no analytics cookies, and nothing we keep can identify you.

Information you choose to give us

• Festival & vrat reminders sign-up: your name, email address, and the optional phone number and city you provide, together with your notification preferences and your consent record (as Canada's anti-spam law, CASL, requires). Used solely to send you the reminders you asked for.
• Contact form: your name, email address and message — used only to reply to you.

We never sell, rent or share this information with anyone, and we send no advertising.

Your choices

• Every reminder email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can adjust what you receive on the email preferences page at any time.
• To have your information corrected or deleted entirely, email info@ottawahindutemple.com and we'll do it promptly.

Third-party services

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google's servers. If a CAPTCHA service (such as Google reCAPTCHA) is enabled on a form, that service processes the security check under its own privacy policy. Links to our Facebook and Instagram pages take you to those platforms, which have their own policies. We embed no advertising or tracking scripts.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, this page will be updated and the date below revised. Significant changes affecting reminder subscribers will be announced by email.
