How these readings are made — and what they are not
These are assembled, not authored. Each morning the engine works out which house the Moon occupies counted from each rashi, and whether that position gives Chandra Bala — strength from the Moon. Houses 1, 3, 6, 7, 10 and 11 are held favourable; 4, 8 and 12 unfavourable; 2, 5 and 9 neutral. The house decides the day's theme and the Chandra Bala decides its tone; the wording is then drawn from a fixed library using the date and the rashi, so the same day always reads the same.
Tara Bala is counted from your birth nakshatra to the Moon's nakshatra today, taken in nines: Janma, Sampat, Vipat, Kshema, Pratyari, Sadhaka, Vadha, Mitra and Ati Mitra. Sampat, Kshema, Sadhaka, Mitra and Ati Mitra are the favourable ones.
The Moon is read at sunrise for your chosen city, following the usual panchang convention. When the Moon changes rashi or nakshatra during the day, the card says so and gives the time, because from then on the figure is different.
What this is not: it is not a prediction of events, and it is not advice on your health, money or legal affairs. It is a traditional reckoning of the day's quality, stated plainly, with the arithmetic shown so you can check it.
